Write a profile on a food personality from your local community, with at least two live supporting sources to add credibility to your story. Your profile can focus on a restaurant employee, farmer, food scientist, activist, author or artisan, as examples, or anyone who works in food. Your final project must reflect a diversity of sources, including race, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and class—the “fault lines” of American society. At the end of the assignment, please include names and contact information (phone, email) for anyone interviewed for your story. If you are working from publications, please cite those as well (formatted as such: Last name, First name. “Article Title.” Newspaper Title, Month Date, Year of Publication).
