The Role of Ethical Behaviour

The lessons of Hurricane Katrina not only taught us about better response and recovery, but also about the importance of ethical behavior and decision-making made by public organizations and response agencies. In this activity, you will discuss the role of ethical behavior and why it should be considered in homeland security and emergency management planning.

Respond to the following:

Discuss the role of ethical behavior in homeland security and emergency management and why it should be at the core of emergency planning and response. Include specific examples not previously mentioned to support your arguments.

Your primary response is due by Thursday at midnight and must be at least 250 words in APA (7th ed.) style, and include citations and references. Read any postings already provided by your instructor or fellow students. Read and respond to the conclusions drawn by at least two of your classmates, using at least 100 words and include citations if necessary. Remember to read the feedback to your own major postings and reply to it throughout the module. Replies are due by Sunday by 11:59PM.
