Funding is very vital for the betterment fo schools all around the world. Schools have certain needs that are important to meet because they are constantly evolving. From upgrading buildings and facilities around campus to making sure faculty and teachers are getting compensated for the work that they do. There are a wide variety of things that go into making sure the is school is financially stable. This is important to Quincy University who has had an ongoing tradition for the last 160 years supporting the greater needs of the university. These needs include scholarships, technology upgrades, campus enhancement and faculty development. ( ) Quincy University is constantly trying to improve the university inside in out so that it continues to be appealing to the current students and for the future students to come.

Quincy University is constantly getting the necessary support from the alumni and other sponsors that believe in the Quincy culture. Every year, Quincy is looking to surpass their financial goals for school enhancements. With the increase of student enrollment, Quincy is looking to increase their goal last year of 1.1 million to 1.2 million.( ) They believe the support from Quincy alumni and friends will have an understanding on why they are increasing this goal. So this year Quincy begin its 2021-2022 QU Fund drive with the intent to raise 1.2 million dollars. ( ) In the past years, Quincy has been able to successfully past  these set goals to raise money for the school.

Enrollment

Enrollment is a big part of a schools well being. Each year universities see an increase or decrease in student population. For many reasons people are choosing to leave or stay. Luckily for Quincy University, they have seen an increase in the number of students for the 2021 academic term. The number of freshman and transfer students has grown 5.9 percent making the overall enrollment increase 2.6 for this upcoming fall session.( ) The increases are very important because upcoming students will find this more appealing, which will increase the overall viewing of the university.

For the last four years Quincy University has seen an increase of student population with transfers and incoming freshman. This upcoming year Quincy is expecting 340 new students on school grounds, bringing the total to Quincy student population to 1154, which includes undergraduate and graduate students. Default rates are the unsettled balances provided from a financial entity that a borrower has failed to repay. Unluckily, many students are unable to repay the loan they have taken out for school, therefore resulting them to default. Default rates affect the schools willingness to thrive and students being able to attend college through financial assistance.
