Topic for Action Research Project: Changes in classroom practices 
Directions:  Use the following format to write your Action Research Project Installment #1.  Include visual representations as indicated.

Purpose: Clearly define the focus by stating the problem – Problem Statement:  First three bullets represent part one (First Installment worth 10 points)

State the problem/issue to be addressed in your Action Research, then put the topic in question format. For example: Focus Statement – On task behavior can be increased through teacher student interaction.  Focus Question  Can on task behavior be increased through teacher student interaction?

Rationale: Tell why you chose to explore this research topic and why it matters to others

Describe the situation which brings your attention to this problem/issue.  Then identify the educated hypothesis or your hunches for resolving the problem/issue.   Explain your interest in this topic and address the broader educational and social significance of this study.  Include any FEAPs and its sub-parts that apply.

Visual Displays – To complement the narrative of your project, please include visuals that will further explain your work.  These graphics should include the Action Research Cycle Chart – with key question inserted.  Also, include a design that shows your dependent variable with the attendant independent variables.  Be reminded that each visual display should have a title/label and a one to four sentence explanation of what it represents and how it is related to the Action Research Project.
