African American patients are more at risk of developing heart disease as a result of having type 2 diabetes

THIS PAPER IS A BOTCHED PAPER FROM A PREVIOUS WRITER. PLEASE EDIT TOPIC WHICH SHOULD BE A DISSERTATION TOPIC. FORMAT AND ADD MISSING REQUIREMENTS. I TYPED IN ALL CAPS TO GET YOUR ATTENTION. THANK YOU

The aim of this assignment is to focus on the problem statement. Clearly identify the problems or questions that will be the focus of the dissertation research, and present a peer-reviewed literature review that clearly supports the proposed topic as novel and significant.  Clearly identify the knowledge gap supported by current literature to exemplify the novelty of the proposed study. Use the literature to also describe the significance of the proposed study by underscoring how it will improve and impact the respective field. Discuss expected outcomes and how they are important to rectify conflicting literature or add to current knowledge.
Case Assignment
Formulate a title for the proposed dissertation research. Using the concepts mentioned in the assignment overview, write an Introduction and Problem Statement to the Dissertation Prospectus. Provide a clear rationale for why the study is needed. Clearly articulate the purpose of the study (i.e., study aims). The second component of the assignment is to formulate a set of appropriately formulated Research Questions on the Dissertation topic (see Assignment Expectations below). Follow this with a proposal outline for approval. Please follow this outline:

Specific aims will include a brief introduction, the question or hypothesis and 2-3 aims geared at investigating the questions.
Background and significance 2-3 pages. Chung et al. (2008). Retrieved from

Justify opinions with evidence from the peer-reviewed literature.

The paper is well organized, concise, reads clearly, and it is not confusing.

Breadth (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)

The paper presents appropriate breadth covering the assignment questions/requirements

Depth (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)

Presents key points that lead to deeper matters and issues
Integrates several points into coherent conclusions

Critical Thinking (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)

The paper demonstrates good understanding and synthesis of the module background material
Logically incorporates key concepts presented in the background material into the overall analyses, key points and supporting discussions
Present well-reasoned conclusions and positions as well as convincing arguments in support of the same

Writing Mechanics

Grammar (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)
Spelling (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)
Vocabulary (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)
Referencing (Excellent; Good; Average; Poor)

Additional considerations to keep in mind while working on assignments:
Originality and Use of directly quoted material

The purpose of this assignment is for the student to demonstrate understanding and synthesis of the background material and key concepts. Accordingly, this must be accomplished substantially in the students own words.
Use directly quoted material sparingly and only when preserving the exact words of an author is necessary. For purposes of this course, rarely should directly quoted material represent more than 1 percent of the entire papers content. Composing a paper patched together from mostly quoted material is not acceptable.
Be sure to properly reference all directly quoted material and include the in-text citations.

Grades

A paper that answers all assignments questions and supports that same with good key points, well-supported discussions and quality references will earn a solid B grade.
Please remember that A papers are exceptional works that go beyond just answering the questions and provide insightful answers.

Also, note that earning As in previous courses does not guarantee an A in this course. This course requires high-level graduate extrapolation and synthesis communicated through high-level writing and presentation.
