Paper Information For the research report, organize the material you find and share what you have learned in your own words. A research report is a summary of what the student has learned through their exploration of a topic in books, encyclopedias, or the Internet. The student will read the desired material, at least two sources on a specific subject matter, and organize the information. The subject matter will be from 2 or 3 chapters from chapters 8, 9, or 10 from the class text (The Illustrated Guide to Aerodynamics, by H.C. Smith) or performance and aerodynamics of a WMU aircraft. The student will summarize what they have researched and learned in a well‐thought‐out manner. The report should be written in an informational tone, devoid of opinion. It should be concise and to the point. The format needs to use the APA format, but does not need to include an abstract. Aircraft reports should cover topics from class including lift, drag, thrust, performance, weight and balance and stability. The research should include concepts behind the development and design of the aircraft.
