APA PAPER

You will use the APA paper template in the Module for this assignment. Just simply download the document and fill in each section using the guide below.
You must write your paper in complete sentences, using proper grammar and citations. You will not refer to yourself in the paper at all – so no “I” statements!
Do not use any direct quotes. You will paraphrase any sentences that reference the article. You will lose a lot of points on this assignment if you use direct quotes. 
You will also place an in-text citation at the end of each sentence that you paraphrase from the article. See the APA paper template for information about how to do this. 

Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you will summarize a scholarly journal article in a 2 page, double-spaced paper. Divide your paper into the 4 sections sections listed below, and use the questions to help you write each section. 
Introduction 
Briefly summarize the article, using the following prompts:

What is the subject matter of the article? 
Who is the intended audience? 
Can you identify the thesis/research question? 
What problem is the researchers trying to address with their research? 
What background information or summary of previous research is provided to help the reader understand the history of the issues and/or the previous research in the field?

Methods
Characterize the research process. Who were the participants? How did the researcher recruit (find) them? How did they select the participants? What were the characteristics of the participants in each group? 
Summarize the procedure used in the study. Did the researchers ask for consent? If so, how? How was the information collected? What information was given to the participants before they were surveyed? What specific measurement tools did they use throughout the study to collect the data?
Results
What data was collected from the research? Summarize the data. How was the data reported in the article (e.g. percentages? data tables?)
Discussion
How did the authors summarize the findings/results? What is their analysis of the results? What could their results mean for the field (i.e. what are the implications)? What are the limitations of their study? How could their study be improved upon? How could study could help future researchers and people in general?
