Business videos

As you saw  in my initial email to you, I included a pdf of the textbook.  I’m not a big fan of charging students hundreds of dollars for textbooks, then additional charges on top of that for other resources.  I use this text for this course (it’s not the latest version) on purpose,  so if you do choose to buy the hard copy, it won’t cost you and arm and a leg. 
With that said, I’m teaching a new management course , but I didn’t design it like I did this course.  It not only includes an expensive textbook but virtual resources that accompany the text, also upwards of $100.  In an effort to minimize student out-of-pocket expenses, I’m building a YouTube channel with basically the same information as those virtual resources.  This 111 class is like the intro version to that course.  I launched this channel in May 2020 – all management related topics.   I can’t include the videos in Canvas because 1) I learned that if I tried to post the entire textbook, I run out of bandwidth,  2) the last time I tried to include large files I nearly blew up Canvas, and 3) by the time it goes through eCampus, you’ll be done with the course.  So, I’m trying this to eliminate additional expenses for future students and give you a variety of assignments in the most efficient manner.  
In the past for this assignment, I provided a number of business-related articles and students selected which articles to read and discuss.  Student feedback changing from articles to videos has been overwhelmingly positive.  Instead of reading those articles, I’d like you to select from the YouTube channel link below, specifically choosing from only the  Practical Tips to Manage Others and/or the Academic Stuff playlists (for now).  To be fair, you should watch video(s) that are a combined total of at least 20 minutes.  Then, please write a reflection of at least 800 words (the length of these assignment details is 450+ words) about what you learned, found interesting, and how you thought about management differently.  It should not be a play-by-play (i.e. first she talked about this, then this, etc.).  Please identify each of the videos you watched. 
Your submission should be professional in nature and look like a student attending a great university wrote it.  I’d also like to know if you enjoyed this assignment.  I plan to build some other assignments around it in the future and would appreciate your feedback.

Submissions should be via text only (no file uploads); if you used a PC or a MAC, just copy and paste the text in the assignment submission.  This is an individual assignment, as are all other assignments in this course.  There is no need to review any other resources for this assignment; it should be a personal reflection based on what you watched.
