The purpose of this assignment is to assess the ways that the book of Proverbs characterizes Woman Wisdom and summarize those key characteristics and identity markers by writing a character profile based on Proverbs 1:20-33; 8:1-36; and 9:1-6. 

The book of Proverbs uses the figure of a Woman to talk about Wisdom. This metaphor evokes a lot images as we think about what it means to pursue wisdom. When evaluating the characters in our gospels, the following questions are especially helpful:

What are the characteristics of Woman Wisdom that you find in these passages of Scripture?
What do these characteristics reveal about Wisdom? What events confirm something the reader already knows about Wisdom?
What kinds of things does Woman Wisdom say and do? 
Are their themes, claims, or descriptions of Woman Wisdom that come up repeatedly these early chapters?
Offer a rationale as to why you think Wisdom is personified as a woman? What purpose does it serve to portray Wisdom this way?
