Creative Gender Project

Creative Final Gender Project (100): For this project you will create a short film (you can use your phone, or create a film using i-movie), create a blog, website, create an e-zine (examples from Feminisms Matter text will be made available), create a magazine, take photographs, make artwork, create advertisements, make a music video, or make your own Its On Us Project. The point is to be creative through a creative media format!! Topic ideas are available under the Creative Final Gender Project Guidelines file on Blackboard. Again, you may work with a classmate (my preference) or on your own to complete the assigned this project. Those working with a partner must send me a course message (cc: all parties) well ahead of the due date. Your Creative Final Gender Project is due on Sunday, December 1st by 11:59pm.
Elements:
1) Creativity
2) Address a current cultural gender issue in order to make a positive change – advocate for a change of something. 
3) Application of theory, research, to make a positive change
4) The idea is to use a creative medium to effect a change on a topic you feel is important after this semester.
Grading Breakdown:
1) Creativity – 20points
2) Application of theory/research – 50 points
3) Proposed solution for change – 30 points
Even more specifics:
Solid projects should effectively utilize 6-8 scholarly sources in addition to the course textbook. Two of these sources can be internet sources. Provide an APA reference list as a slide, screen, or section at the end of your project.

If you have other ideas please ask me if it will work for the project.
Videos must be approximately 3-5 minutes in length. –All films, music, and videos (etc) must be saved as MP4s, Smaller than 100MB.
Ads, magazines, photos, artwork (etc) must be in a readily accessible format that I can open and resave for classmates. PDFS are preferred.
All projects may be made available for students in the course to view/read/etc As such you should also have written permission for sharing this video from anyone featured within the video (i.e., those who volunteer to be performers/actors, interviewed by you, etc) aside from yourself.
Each project must include a 1-2 paragraph rationale/overview of the project that details the content/concepts/material from the course that your project is grounded within and connected to. This can be featured as a separate page within a PDF file, a separate slide on a PPT or Video file, and as an opening screen of a film. This rationale/overview is information that will appear in addition to content that will be featured within the project.
Lastly, make sure your name is listed within the title section of the project.
