DSM 5 clinical information

Foryour first 2 case studies, you will be viewing client videos using SymptomMedia, the link is provided here and in the course. You MUST be logged intoPost Universitys Library to access the videos. Here is the link  
 
Youwill be required to choose two (2)different mental disorders for the first 2 case study assignments.
 
Forcase study 1 you will select a video from Volume 2 using only the DSM 5 videosand not ICD 10.
 
Forcase study 2 you will select a video from Volume 1 or 3 using only the DSM 5videos and not ICD 10.
 
Pleasetake notes as you would if the individual was sitting in front of you as aclient. You are to utilize the data you collect on the client to develop yourown case study report (Case Study 1 and Case Study 2), and you will submit thecompleted case study report template.For all three of your case studyreports, you are to use the Case StudyReport Template. Moreinformation to help is at the bottom of this document.
 
InCase Study 3, you will acquire DSM 5clinical information by viewing of a movie of your choice. Based on the informationyou gather from the movie, you will be asked to complete your third, and mostthorough case study report. See the Case Study Guidelines document foradditional information. Please be sure to select a movie where you believe thata character exhibits symptoms which can lead to a diagnosis.
 
Togive you an idea of how to complete the Case Study Report Template, an intakehistory and corresponding sample case study reports for a fictitious client, Alan,will be provided.  In addition, be awarethat these templates are not complete and do not include scholarlysources.
 
Foryour reports, use the DSM-5 for the sections titled:
–         Clinical& Personality Disorders and Other Conditions That May Be the Focus ofClinical Attention (DSM 5)
–         ClinicianScores from the WHODAS 2.0; (DSM 5 p.747-748)
 
Forthe Etiology, Prognosis, and Recommendations sections:
–         Includeat least a minimum of three scholarlyjournal sources (total number for all sections)
–         Besure to tie the Etiology and Prognosis sections directly to your client. Inother words, do not write a research paper-like summary. Instead write a 4-6sentence narrative pointing out how the literature supports your clinicaljudgment regarding the etiology of the clients condition and their prognosisfor treatment moving forward.
–         Includeat least five clear, empirically supported interventions within theRecommendations section.
