EMR Benefits and Integration

For this weeks assignment, suppose you are a representative of the Health Information Management Team, in the setting/context of your choice. Present to new hires in your organization on how your electronic (EMR) medical record works and how it gives the best quality of care to your patient population. Your presentation should be 15-20 slides and include speaker notes. Research an EMR system, or one your organization uses to present your information. Compare and contrast the use of EMR and traditional health care records. Include a title slide, introduction, content, conclusion, and reference slide. Add speaker notes to each slide to add detail, explanations, and examples along with course materials support.
Include:

Begin with an explanation of the history, policy, and research of health informatics and how it is used in your chosen setting/context.
An introduction to the health information management system that provides insight into how the system works and how the organization benefits from its use.
Three points on how the health information management system is used within the organization.
Explain how federal policy has helped put this system in place.
Compare and contrast the use of EMR and traditional health care records including the pros and cons of each.
