End-of-life care and practice in aging adults in America

Students will choose an aging topic for their final assignment. This assignment involves writing a 8 to 10-page paper (excluding cover sheet, references; APA). Students will choose their topic for the final paper using one of the 16 content areas discussed throughout this course. For example, you may choose to expand on the topic “Love, Intimacy, & Sexuality in Older Adulthood”, “Gero-technology”, or “Chronic Diseases among Older Adults.” Please use at least 6 references.
Important — References/Sources:  You will need to use at least 6 references (more is stronger) and follow all APA guidelines when using sources/references. You can use your textbook minimally, but you need to reference at least 3 Academic Journal Articles in this final research paper (use the UTA library – ask for assistance in the online library if you do not know how to search for academic journal articles). When using other sources, be sure they are reliable, like a “.org”…  As stated earlier, and Very Important: Be sure to follow the APA guidelines when using references – Provide in-text citations in the actual body of your paper and then also reference on the reference page. The only time you do not have to use a reference is when something is “common knowledge”… for instance: George Washington in the 1st president of the United States is common knowledge information. If it is not common public knowledge, then you must reference the source of the information you are using in your paper. Please “do not”over use a source. This means that you do not write sentence after sentence in your paper, over and over, using the same source… as this can turn into plagiarism. If you are over using a source, it does not matter if you are giving them credit, as overuse means that they are really writing your paper for you. The key is to use many sources to make your paper stronger!
