The readings in this unit have all been about political, social, or economic issues/events that have impacted our country. Pick one of the readings from our textbook and in a four-page MLA formatted essay, explain a current local or national political, social or economic issue/event that has impacted your life. (community, workplace, classroom, home)
Three page minimum plus Works Cited page for a total of four pages.

Your introduction could include one of the essays we read but it doesnt have to. You can include one of the essays in your body paragraphs.
Sample thesis:
Substance abuse is a serious issue in society today, and it has negatively impacted my life in several ways.
The recent debate over the Covid vaccination has caused fake news reports which have impacted Americans in several ways.
Fake news is a serious problem in our society and it has negatively impacted politics in America.  
Recently, the pandemic and vaccination mandate has been a huge political issue in the United States, and it has impacted my life in several ways. 
Body paragraphs

Begins with a topic sentence that is a way the issue/event impacted you (either cause or effect)
At least one quote from one of the readings in the unit

Conclusion
Summarize main points and maybe discuss the future of the issue or suggestions for resolving the issues.
Works Cited
List the essay from the book you included in your paper-this is a work in an anthology.
