Formal Speech Delivery of Top Business Person

Speech 2 is a Formal Speech Delivery where you are Introducing a Female or Minority CEO/Top Level Position (if they are not the CEO) to your Classmates and Informing them about the individual’s  “Journey to their Success”.      You might want to think about your Favorite Company, and share insights from the leadership within this company.      Follow the posted Outline expectations and use the TedTalk as a Model for an “Effective Speech Delivery”……… failure to do so will result in significant point deductions.

3-5 Required Oral Footnotes (Failure to include Sources is a -20 point deduction)

Please Note The Following:   
Your Topic will not be the same as the Example outline (You Choose What You Want to Share Topic Wise)

You will follow the Posted Example outline exactly, and you will Type Out the Body of Your Speech and a Power point or other Multi Media Approach is Required as your Visual Aid.    Failure to have a Visual Aid properly in place results in a -10 point deduction.

A Works Cited in proper MLA format must be included point deductions will range from -5 to -10 points for errors/omissions in the Citation.

You must include 3 to 5 Oral Footnotes (watch video examples on You Tube for stating Sources in a Speech). Failure to follow this standard will result in a -10 to a -20 point deduction.

Your Time Limit is 4-5 minutes; Do Not go over this time limit.  Failure to follow this standard will result in a -10 point deduction.

Videos CAN NOT be Edited, and must show the speaker and a 3 person audience.   The speaker should be standing in a formal speech delivery mode, if physically able to do so……..Failure to follow this standard will result in a -10 to a -25 point deduction.

Delivery effectiveness, will include effective use of Eye Contact (speech should not be read to the audience), proper physical/non-verbal delivery, effective vocal quality/inflection, free from spoken errors/slang/verbal fillers.     Errors in each of these areas will cause a – 5 to -10 point deduction.

   You will have a blank slide at the beginning of the presentation
 This slide is up during the entire Introduction

  Your visual aid of your famous person is shown
  You show each slide and make sure you have a font size of 32 or >
  Make sure you have high contrast in the Font Color used and the Background slide.
You will have at least 3 Content Slides related to your Famous Person
You will have a Blank slide at the end of your show 
  You Thank your Famous Person for volunteering their time to speak at NLC as a Transition into the Conclusion
