Format: Formal paper of 6-8 pages of text, APA formatted

The focus of this paper is on examining, developing and evaluating a variety of curricula appropriate for gifted and talented students. This includes identifying and analyzing gifted program and delivery models and planning and using strategies appropriate for meeting the needs of gifted learners.

In order to write this paper, you will need to:
*Read, apply, and synthesize information found in your assigned text (as an example of primary resources), supplemental and/or secondary resources from suggested readings posted in D2L, and related web-enhanced sources. To be clear, you must use readings and research in addition to the assigned text. You should have at least five different sources in addition to the text. 
All papers must be submitted using APA-7th ed. guidelines.  Reference to journals, books, and websites must be cited in APA format at the end of each report in a Reference section.  If you are unfamiliar with APA, see the Publication manual in the library or purchase such in the AU Bookstore. Written papers will be graded on content of formal paper and style. Grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors, etc. will be penalized.  You are encouraged to submit your paper to the Augusta University Writing Center for a review. 
 
Content of formal paper: Choose one of these topics for your paper. You must write about the topic in depth (application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation). This paper is not a report where you are simply presenting information (knowledge/comprehension). Where applicable, include a brief history of the topic, prominent names and/or theories, seminal studies, driving data, how it applies to more than the classroom setting, and the future (as you see it) of the chosen topic.
