How has fast food impacted society? 
 
 
One of the most influential factors in America is fast food. Fast food has impacted society in so many ways, both good and bad. Most of these aspects are discussed in this paper. Fast food is very important to America because it is everywhere. You can find fast-food restaurants in almost every state in the U.S. So, that means that all over America, there are lots of people engaging with fast food daily (Arndorfer 2). Fast food has become a major part of our culture and almost everyone indulges in it. People go to fast-food restaurants because they are quick to cook, but also affected people’s health and added excess fat to their bodies (Kann).
Food is one of the most instrumental things in a person’s life. It can bring people together and create a divide between them. Fast food is the perfect example of the latter because it has been compared to the poison that is killing our nation. In addition, fast food can be utilized to represent what is wrong with society today. Fast food has created an alternate reality in which anything goes, and this world has almost become a norm today. In conclusion, society would be a better place without fast food. The percentage of the population that makes no trips to fast food establishments is rising, it is important to be aware of past contributions. The impact of the industry has been felt worldwide, not least on children. Fast food has had a profound effect on families, schools, communities, economics, and global culture-changing lives in ways both positive and negative. 
Fifty years ago, the golden arches of McDonald’s were little more than a symbol of American success, a company aiming to become a global brand. Today, the arches have come to represent something else: a testament to American society’s love of convenience and accessibility. In Sociological Fast Food, Arien Mack criticizes the growing turn toward fast food as a signifier for everything from an unhealthy lifestyle to environmental degradation. What’s most troubling, however, is that all this is happening without most people even realizing itand the most effective way to fight this shift in cultural norms is to understand how they occurred in the first place. 
The sociological purpose behind the fast-food franchise is to allegedly enhance society through the development of a niche market that would normally not exist. In today’s fast-paced world, time can be costly, and those scarce minutes can be used more productively working as opposed to waiting in line. Hence, the absence of fast-food establishments is past or future geniuses, as it will promote laziness and an unnecessary strain on the current economy as more individuals will need money for lavish materialistic purchases such as sportswear, cars, and electronics.
 
It is very easy to see fast food as a major bad force in today’s world. It has contributed to the obesity epidemic and made Americans more prone to many other diseases every year. It has also contributed to the growing health care crisis and it has brought people away from kitchen tables and family meals. Fast food is everywhere, and it is very hard to live without it. However, there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon, so we need to reevaluate its impact on America and how we could try and bring fast food back under control. 
 
The argument against allowing fast food to be made by workers who are part of the social protection system is that we would lose control over what we put into our mouths, and we might eat too much of it, and that it might be harmful. We need to weigh up the pros and cons and come to a decision about whether we should allow fast food to be made by workers who are part of the social protection system. If we do not, we will be planning without properly considering both sides of this argument.
