Medical Terminology

Another wave of pain tightened its icy fingers around her heart, and the pain moved up into both sides of her jaw. Randi thought, “Probably just a little heartburn.  Since the pain doesn’t radiate down my left arm, it couldn’t be my heart, could it?”
“Don’t think about the pain,” she told herself. “Think of something else.  Melonie’s prom dress needs altering.”
Randi fell to the floor, clutching her chest, just as Melonie walked in.  She saw her stepmother slumped on the floor and screamed, “Oh my God! Help, somebody, help!”

The following questions must be answered in your paper:

What information in the story indicates that Randi might be a candidate for heart disease?

Discuss why Randi thought this was not a heart attack?

What can Melonie do to try to save Randi’s life immediately?

Assuming that Randi is suffering a myocardial infarction, discuss why it is important to receive appropriate treatment quickly.

Do not write in list format. This is a research paper. Submissions turned in with the questions numbered (1, 2, 3, 4) and answered will not be accepted.

3.  Add a list of ten medical terms related to this topic, with explanations (add a page at the end of your paper. This is not included in the minimum word requirement).
4.  Be certain your explanations for each medical term are stated in your own words as if explaining to your next-door neighbor. 
5.  Copying and pasting are considered plagiarism and will result in a score of “0”.

This must be submitted as a Word document. PDF files will not be accepted. APA formatting requires In-Text Citations, page numbers, double-spacing, Times New Roman 12-point font, and a References Page. (not “works cited”).  References must be on a page by themselves and must be in alphabetical order.   Copy and pasting the URL is not acceptable.   The website address should not be used when in-text citing.  Please review the links below.  The Purdue Owl website has a sample paper that you can look at.  Let me know if you have questions.
