1.  Select from one of the two current issues listed below that impact the nursing profession.
Issue #1- Diversity – Explore the challenges associated with cultural, religious, gender, and generational differences and the associated impact on the profession.
Issue #2 – Lateral (Horizontal) Violence and Bullying in Nursing – Explore the issue of violence and bullying in nursing and its impact on the profession.
2.   Address this issue through the lens of the Nurse Leader

Examine the significant current problem that you chose in nursing and its impact on the profession
Provide a thorough introduction to the issue
Define and describe the issue 
Explain why this is a leadership issue
Describe the background and history of the issue 
Perform a review of the literature
Summarize what is known about the issue
Discuss solutions to the issue as identified from the literature 
Propose a best practice solution integrating information from the review of the literature
Provide a Conclusion of the topic you chose
Utilize course content, your textbooks, professional journal articles, and professional websites as references for your work. (A minimum of 10 professional references with at least 5 nursing journal articles are required).

3.  Your paper should be a minimum of 10 pages in length and no more than 12 pages; do not count your cover page or reference page as part of the total length.
