Task. Your paper should analyze the topic that you have selected, based on yoursearch and analysis of literature from published sources. You should analyze your topicand supporting evidence, evaluate these, and present an organized appraisal of yourtopic. A simple summary is inadequate and will not receive full credit. You should adopt awell-reasoned position, or evaluate differing opinions about your topic. You need toexplore your topic in greater depth than the textbook does. Your analysis should centeron the importance of your topic to scientific or medical progress, and/or assess itssocietal or ethical implications. Your paper will be graded on the depth of your analysis,the strength of your reasoning, and the quality of your supporting information.Once you complete your research, you should create an essay that describes your topicin a manner that could be read and understood by anyone. You should begin with anoverview of your topic, followed by a more detailed description and evaluation ofadditional information derived from your sources. Please feel free to include your ownopinions, but they should make a positive contribution to your essay.Being a research paper, your essay must accurately document the sources from whichyour material was gathered. Any time you describe an individual’s data or otherexperimental results, or quote or paraphrase an author, you must credit that individual.The proper citation of your sources is of paramount importance in preparing researchpapers, and any paper submitted without proper documentation will be returned forrevision. Please check with your instructor about the quality of any questionable website.No more than half of your sources should be Internet sites, and these should be ofhigh quality.3b. You may submit a draft of your paper for instructor feedback no later than11.59 pm on Sunday, November 8. The earlier you submit your draft, the more timeyou will have to revise your paper after receiving feedback. The grades of most paperssubmitted without revision are reduced for poor readability, formatting, incorrect citations,and/or grammatical errors.The final draft of the assignment should be submitted via a Blackboard Messagebefore 11.59 pm on Monday, November 15.
