Analysis Research Project Based on Nutrition-Related Health Disparities Symposium

Your PowerPoint presentations should include (15 slides):

You are to choose one (1) health disparity topic that will be presented during the Health Disparities Symposium held by Howard University on Monday, April 11th, 2022. You are required to attend the symposium for at least one (1) hour. The Symposium will be held from 9:00 am – 4:00pm EST. You can choose any 1 hour segment in the agenda that interests you. The full agenda is posted below. Choose your symposium topic before the event so that you can begin researching your topic. The information you gather during the symposium will only be a supplement to the research you gather for your chosen topic.

· Total of 10-15 slides
· Give a brief overview of your research findings
· You can include a video that is related to your topic (videos should be no longer than 2-3 minutes)

1. What group of people is this health issue affecting (ex: African Americans, Asians, Native Americans, Elderly, Children, College Students etc.)?
2. Discuss the health effects regarding the health topic you researched.
3. Demonstrate evidence-based research to support your description of the issue(s) among the identified marginalized group (Include supporting facts and details about the health disparity topic).
4. Propose an ideal system that combats your chosen topic issue and improves the health of the marginalized population. (The Solution)

· Utilize bullet points to organize the information in your slides.
· Make sure that your presentation is concise and well organized.
· Avoid Plagiarism: Cite all information that you get from different sources (online, articles, books etc.).
· Reference Page: Include a reference page if you use information from information from different sources (online, articles, books etc.).
