Term Project

Screen a historical film based on a time period covered during the course that is based on real people and real events. Analyze the film for historical accuracy and make academically-driven suggestions to correct it. What did the film get right? What did the film get wrong or leave out? What artistic or creative methods in filmmaking did the director utilize that skew historical accuracy? Were there any missed opportunities? Would you recommend this film as a teaching tool? Choose from the suggested list at the end of this document or propose a different one to the instructor. Submit a project proposal to the professor during Week 3 for what film you will be screening. Use a variety of historical primary and secondary sources to support your analysis. 3000 words. Refer to syllabus for formatting requirements. Submit your paper onto Blackboard by the end of Finals Week.
