Prepare Individual Project Paper:

Paper must be formatted using APA 7th style and include a cover page, Abstract, APA headings, and References. Use subheadings (in bold below) to organize topics in the paper. Paper will be evaluated for grammar, punctuation, spelling, paragraph construction and idea development as well as APA format, including citations and references. 
Review textbook for understanding on the topics, but do not quote.  Conduct a library search to add explanation beyond the interview, for example, on The Joint Commission which accredits hospitals. Or any topics unfamiliar to you. Doing research will contribute to your learning and the writing about the agency

Content MUST include the following:
Agency Description
Include full name of agency, location (including city and state), brief history (when it was founded and by whom), and organizational structure (is it a branch of a larger organization?). What is the agency’s mission?  Who is the person you interviewed (name, title, how long in this position). This content serves as the Introduction.

Scope of Health Care Services
Identify health care services provided by agency, indicating if delivery is inpatient or outpatient.
Providers and Clients
Provide number of clients served by the agency, number of staff members (be specific and identify type, such as managers, administrators, health care providers and professionals.  This might include nurses, physicians, physical therapists, social workers, and counselors, to name a few.  If meals are provided is there a kitchen and kitchen staff and dietician or is food service contracted to outside vendor?  Explain how housekeeping services are provided – in house staff or outside agency?
Financing and Reimbursement
Indicate if agency is for-profit or not-for-profit. How is agency reimbursed for service delivery?  What type of insurance is accepted to cover health services? This content should be researched to add explanation beyond the interview.
Licensure, Certification or Accreditation
What is legally required for this agency to operate? Include details such as name of licensing agency and frequency of renewal. Include general and any special liscensure requiremetns for health care professionals who may work within the agency. Again, additional research by you will be necessary.
Challenges
These include those challenges in health care delivery identified by the agency administrator, e.g., staffing, technology, financing. You can include personal challenges to the administrator–such as, “it is difficult to fire an employee” but only as it relates to the overall performance of the agency. How does the agency manage these challenges?

Writing Requirements for the Individual Project Paper

The Individual Project Paper should be at least 5 pages (1,500 words maximum). Cover page, references and thank you letter DO NOT count towards this requirement. 
The Individual Project Paper should be typewritten and double-spaced, with a one-inch margin on all sides of the paper and set in a standard, traditional font (Arial) 12-point font size. Include page numbers.
DO NOT change margins, font sizes, and increase spacing to make your paper fit the 5-page requirement.  A template for the final paper is provided in the Final Project Paper folder in Blackboard and should be used to format the paper.
Cover page MUST include the following: title of paper, your name, date the paper is submitted, course number and title, and the instructor’s name.
APA 7th Style must be used for headings, citations, and references. 
The paper should have at least 5 references that are less than 7 years old from peer-reviewed journals or reputable websites.
This is a technical report written in 3rd person EXCEPT for the Personal Reflection.
Papers with less than a minimum of 5 pages, with no in-text citations or references or with highlighting by SafeAssign in the body of the paper may receive an automatic failing grade. See Syllabus, “Automatic Failing Grades on Assignments.”  No exceptions and no resubmissions.
