(Youth violence )is the topic, but six other topics are needed.

Consult with your professor for additional methodological questions and generalguidance.

Step 2 :Annotated Bibliography
The Annotated Bibliography is designed to review, summarize, and assess each of the secondarysources to be included in the Research Essay. The research process includes selecting appropriatesecondary sources, evaluating the sources, summarizing the sources, and determining how eachsource will support the Research Essay thesis.
An annotation (sometimes called an abstract or precis) is a condensed summary of the mainpoints of a source, helping the student-researcher to identify, analyze, and collect information tobe included in the Research Essay. In other words, someone who has not read the source shouldhave a good overview of the content of the source by reading the annotation.
