week 5 response

fter you have created your new discussion topic, you are required to read and respond to a minimum of 2 of your classmates discussion topics.  Each of your responses should be a minimum of 100 words. 

Ronell:

     The typology quiz was fairly straightforward stating that I am leaning somewhat left but not overly liberal. It also mentioned that I value social change as well as social justice. I am not a complete liberal but my views relate towards liberals than conservatives. I even value a decentralized economy and support low-cost or government-controlled healthcare. After analyzing the results of the quiz, I do believe it is fairly accurate. I do believe that citizens are born with liberties and rights that cannot be relinquished without cause. Regardless of your background or where you came from a citizen deserves equality without the government interfering. I also believe the government should provide the basics that can grant each citizen a chance to succeed. I believe the quiz was correct in this aspect when it asked how I felt about gun regulations. Not every person should be allowed to have access to a fire arm but the right to bear arms should not be taken and regulated by the government. I really do believe there is always room for improvement so I do strongly value social change as well as social justice.
            I do not believe there are many politicians who specifically strive for Liberal outcomes. I do believe some presidents like Barack Obama who has done things like the Affordable Care Act but not because he is a liberal bias. I believe many politicians in the president attempt to consider what is best for all citizens. It just seems that their actions may appear to promote a bias rather than being neutral.

My political beliefs come from the people and community I am surrounded by. In very early years of my life, my views came mainly from my household. Then, as I got older in school, my teachers and classmates had a large impact on my political views. Now, I believe that I have formed my own opinions, that are mostly similar to the people I am surrounded by. On my political typology quiz, I received Leaning right, but not overly Conservative! This does not come as a surprise to me, especially seeing as in the south most people share the same political views. I would agree with the quiz, I would call myself a conservative, but I don’t agree with everything conservatives believe in. 
There are many politicians in todays world that share similar views. One politician that shares similar views is Madison Cawthorn. Madison Cawthorn is a US representative for North Carolina. He has become very popular politically in recent years due to his views, and his ability to share his views. One key view Cawthorn holds is to always put America first, which I strongly agree with. I believe he would be a great presidential candidate should he choose to run next term. Many young conservatives are starting to speak up and spread their views all over America. Although they all claim to be conservative, many of them have their own diverse views, which is helping by getting new and fresh ideas in the American government.
